We had a supremely relaxed yet gastronomically stimulating dinner at Restaurant Normal. While staying nearby at the Manoir Stonehaven, which has its own top-flight restaurant, we thought we’d steal a night away from that convenience of in-house dining to try this little restaurant with amazing reviews. It was a good move as Restaurant Normal exceeded expectations. Great little menu that changes almost every day, along with an extensive wine list with a deep selection of very interesting wines - including an excellent starter wine “on tap” from a Quebec vineyard. Our server, Danny, was enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable about the food and wine pairings. Outside of him being seamlessly bilingual, he was very genuinely friendly - not the false smiley tip-seeking type. A great foodie focal for Sainte Agathe des Monts. PS: 4 stars only on the decor as it was extremely eclectic; we liked it, others may not as much. Small point.

This place is special. The food was excellent, very creative, thoughtful menu. Service was friendly and excellent. The decor was inventive. All in all, a gem.

A simple reference to try this place out bought on a nice surprise. Centrally located in Ste Agathe main shopping corridor, this small cozy Resto has lovely food. The salmon tartar was delish and tangy. The duck salad was a fav. But the mix of different foods will bring us back again. I wish the menu was a bit better broken down to reflect appetiser sized plates, sharing plates and main courses. outside of that great service too.

We had the cauliflower, ravioli and bifteck. Everything was wonderful. The flavor was out of this world. Just be ready to get 2 dish by person. So its about at least 60$/persons The wine recommendation was not great though.

Sublime. We had lunch here on a snowy Saturday, enveloped in one of the cozy window booths. The fried chicken burger, seasoned cauliflower, mushroom tartine and ceviche were all creative and delicious, service and vibe are friendly and welcoming. There was a surprisingly wide selection of options for lunch and while a bit of a splurge, more than worth it for such well prepared plates and enjoyable experience. Great and really reasonably priced local wine and beer by the glass doesn’t hurt either. We are already looking forward to going back.

Such a great spot! All our food was absolutely delicious. The waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list and gave us fantastic recommendations. I genuinely think this is a hidden gem and is better than some Michelin star places I’ve been to!

Small bistro with french inspired fusion cuisine using locally sourced ingredients. Family friendly. Large wine list comprising a wide selection of organic products. Cool vibe including an arcade cabinet with a selection of vintage games. Food was delicious, and our waiter gave excellent guidance regarding portion size to help us plan a « tapas-style » shared meal. Particular kudos to the trout confit and mushroom toast in the entrees, which were both very flavorful. Plenty of street parking nearby. We did not have to wait for our table (we arrived shortly after they opened), but the restaurant filled up quickly.

My husband took me to this hidden gem for my birthday! We absolutely loved this restaurant and highly recommend it! Our waiter took very good care of us and made us feel special. It's very wheelchair accessible and not crowded but do make reservations because it does get busy. Everything we tried was delicious! This restaurant should be rated number 1 in Canada and not Vin Mon Lapin (which we've also tried). Same concept but Restaurant Normal 100 times better! Merci Restaurant Normal.. We'll definitely be coming back soon!

Tucked away in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, this little spot could easily hold its own among Montreal’s hidden gems. It’s got that perfect no-fuss vibe… a mix of delicate ingredients, rugged 80s tunes, and mismatched dishes that somehow make total sense together. Everything we tried was a delight. The walnut carrot cake stole the show. Maybe it was the rainbow sprinkles winking at us from the counter, or maybe it was the “oh-wow” reactions from the next table that convinced us, but either way, oh wow indeed!!! The guedille was light and a touch watery, but the lamb skewer more than made up for it, tender, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor without being too gamey. The cauliflower came out bold and beautifully spiced, with a sauce so good I nearly licked the plate. The cavatelli were a miss, im sorry to say…undercooked, almost raw :( but that rich meaty ragù deserved applause. We shared everything, which is definitely the way to do it here. The menu is playful, balanced, and full of small surprises. With kind, attentive service and a laid-back Saturday-night energy, this place is easy to love. Highly recommend and I’ll absolutely be back.
